News – Pen 2 Paper programme

Sixteen aspiring young writers are being given the chance to develop their writing skills through a year-long programme of professional development offered by Birmingham Repertory Theatre (The REP). Eight will benefit from The REPs new Pen 2 Paper programme, to develop writing skills for theatre, television, radio and film.

The other eight will join the theatres Attachment Programme, which provides creative support to enable writers to develop ideas for new plays. The REP is dedicated to new writing, and its current summer season of work has culminated with the annual Transmissions Young Writers Festival (pictured), with plays presented by 1225 year olds.
