News – Is that the weather I can hear?
A new audio recording, Weather in Art, has been launched to help blind and visually impaired audiences to experience weather as it is depicted in paintings.
The album, the 29th such recording created by national charity Living Paintings, is now available via a free postal-library service and features voice artists describing the representation of the weather in paintings including Sir John Everett Millais Autumn Leaves (1856) at Manchester Art Gallery (pictured), Constables Study of Cirrus Clouds in the V&A Museum and Turners The Fighting Temeraire at the National Gallery.
