Stephenie Wright has been appointed as the new Programme Administrator at Dance Base. She succeeds Vicky Rutherford who is now Dance Projects Manager at Dance Base.

Derby Dance has announced the appointment of Stephen Munn as Executive Director. He joins from Quay Arts on the Isle of Wight, where he has been Director for the last three years, and before that was Head of Theatre Programme at Laban, the contemporary dance organisation in South East London.

Judy Digney has joined the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment as Director of Development. She has recently undertaken consultancy roles as interim Director of Development at the Tate and the Courtauld Institute of Art.

Northern Ballet Theatre has appointed Laraine Penson as Head of Media and PR. She joins from Laban, where she was Press Manager. May Goodliffe, previously Press and PR Officer at the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television, is the new Media and PR Manager, and Ruth Greenwood is the new Media and PR Assistant.

Arts & Business has appointed a new media manager, Sophie Gaskill, who previously worked for the travel PR consultancy Brighter PR.

At Manchester City Galleries, Kate Farmery (pictured) is becoming Head of Services, with responsibility for audience development, enterprises and performance, and visitor services and operations, and Sara Holdsworth (pictured)

will be Head of Programmes, with responsibility for exhibitions, education and the display and interpretation of collections.

Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) has announced two senior appointments. Sue Morley, Head of Marketing for The Ambassadors in Woking for the past seven years, will be the next Chief Executive there, taking over from David Blyth, who has been Chief Executive for ten years. Rachel Tackley, ATGs Head of Programming since 2002 and previously Producer for English Touring Theatre, will become Chief Executive of Milton Keynes Theatre. She is taking over from Richard Wingate, who will be concentrating on his roles as Chief Executive of the Regent Theatre and Victoria Hall in Stoke-on-Trent, and the Kings and Theatre Royal in Glasgow.

After four years as Director, Adrian Berry is leaving Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells to take up the new position of Artistic Programme Manager at Jacksons Lane arts centre in north London. His replacement is Jonathan Salisbury, currently Director of Camden Peoples Theatre.

Heather Crumley has taken over from Cat McNaught as the new Marketing and Press Assistant at Scottish Ballet.

Birmingham Royal Ballet has announced the appointment of Geoff Sweeney, currently Director of Development at Derby Playhouse, as its new Development Director.

David Edmunds (pictured), currently the Producer at Phoenix Dance Theatre, is leaving after four years to set up David Edmunds Projects, working as an independent producer and arts consultant based in Yorkshire and working nationally and internationally.

Dame Suzi Leather will step down as chair of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority to become the next Chair of the Charity Commission, taking over from Geraldine Peacock CBE.

Steve Ridgeway, technical assistant for Nottinghamshire County Councils Arts Service, is leaving to take up the post of Technical Officer at Loughborough Town Hall.
Business in the Arts:North West has appointed Julie Gardner as its new Programme Manager, to work alongside Programme Manager, Dorothy Taylor. She has recently worked as an HR Director for Northern Foods plc.

David Allen is joining Cheltenhams Everyman Theatre as the new Head of Sales and Marketing, replacing Derek Aldridge who has become the Town Hall and Entertainment Manager. He previously worked at Lincoln College, where he was Marketing Manager, and prior to that was Director of Marketing and Director of Operations for Clear Channel Entertainment in the US.

Alison Copeland, Talawa Theatre Companys Marketing & Press Associate, is leaving the company to pursue a freelance career in Toronto.

Fleur Lloyd has taken up the post of Corporate Fundraising Manager at Shakespeares Globe Theatre. She has worked in teaching for the past ten years, before which she worked for Questors Theatre and co- founded English Shakespeare Theatre.
