The Professional Arts Support Scheme (PASS) will be launched in October, providing a springboard for disabled people who want to develop careers as artists and actors. Spearheaded by art +power, the year-long scheme will give disabled artists access to training, support and advice, as well as the opportunity to work together in a high quality environment to prepare work for performance and/or exhibition.
The schemes launch is being promoted with a production of a new play, The Immortals (pictured), performed by a group of disabled actors at the Hope Chapel Theatre in Bristol on 9 June. art +power will then be touring Day Centres, Residential Homes and Community organisations to promote the new programme.
