News – Building arts infrastructure

Senior professionals from the cultural sector have met with journalists and other cultural commentators to debate the role of policy makers, arts professionals and the public in relation to publicly funded cultural activity.
The event was hosted by the Mission, Models, Money initiative, the national action research programme seeking new funding solutions and business models to address the chronic financial instability of the cultural sector. The debate was the first in a series of initiatives taking place over the next twelve months which aim to help establish a more viable framework for arts activity in the UK.
