News – Old Vic searches for young performers and writers

The Old Vic has embarked on a London-wide search to create a company of 50 young actors, directors, producers and writers aged 18-25 who have the talent to bring short plays from conception to performance in just 24 hours, and perform them at a gala event in November. Sponsored by Starbucks, the 24 Hour Plays form part of the Old Vic’s New Voices Programme, through which successful applicants gain 3-year membership of its New Voices Club.
The club, formed this year, gives young people the opportunity to learn from industry professionals through a series of workshops, mentoring and networking opportunities.
