News – NY Festival goes ahead

Britain?s cultural links with New York are being celebrated in the two-week ?UKwithNY? Festival in Manhattan this month.
Originally entitled ?UKinNY?, the programme of events has been reduced in the wake of the events of September 11, but is still showcasing fashion, film, design, music, visual and performing arts from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Three years in the planning, UKwithNY is the largest international initiative launched in New York City for almost 20 years, and is the result of collaborative effort between the public and private sectors on both sides of the Atlantic.
