Pilot Theatre has started publishing video Podcasts, which can be found through its website, but also through the iTunes Music Store. Education resources for the companys next production, Sing Yer Heart Out for the Lads by Roy Williams, due to begin touring in September 2006, will also be available in this format.

Artists impressions have been published showing details of The Grove Theatre (pictured), a new arts facility in Dunstable, which will be the biggest ever leisure development in South Bedfordshire. The two storey building will include a 750-seat theatre and six restaurants and bars, and will form part of the wider Grove Park leisure quarter in the town.

A new website has been launched to promote Scottish childrens books. The resource aims to help parents, librarians, teachers and children access information on Scottish childrens authors, illustrators and their books, and features an online database which allows users to search for books by age group and theme.

Audiences Europe Network, the pan-European body comprising cultural professionals who work in audience development, is to be managed by the Arts Marketing Association (AMA). The Network provides opportunities for senior cultural professionals to meet, share ideas and explore current thinking and new ways of working, and the AMA will be providing the organisational support to enable it to develop further.

Two new online international Cultural Profiles have been published by Visiting Arts, covering Cambodia and Laos. This marks the completion of the three-country Greater Mekong Cultural Profile project which was sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation.

Worcestershire Arts Marketing will be running the UKs first Speed Marketing event on 28 February. Participants will join 1015 minute sessions of how to do it advice on subjects including marketing planning, PR, copywriting, e-marketing and websites, and summaries of each session will be available to take away. The County Arts Team and a representative from Arts Council England, West Midlands will also be available to answer questions.

Museums and Galleries Month, 29 April to 4 June, is creating a special Focus on Art on 19 and 20 May to promote the understanding and enjoyment of contemporary art. Supported by the Visual Arts and Galleries Association, independent art galleries, museums and public galleries are being invited to work with artists in collaboration with each other or independently to develop visual arts programmes aimed at adults. Events could include workshops, lectures, guided tours or discussion events with artists about existing or new works.

Senior and mid-career individuals working in the cultural sector are being sought as mentors for younger professionals as part of the London Development Agencys supported programme for London attractions and hotels. In exchange for a commitment to mentor somebody for 5 hours over a period of between 6 and 9 months, free mentor training will be given.

Piali Ray OBE, Director and founder of sampad South Asian arts, has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Central England in recognition of her achievements as a champion, choreographer and educationalist in the field of multi-cultural arts and dance.
