Scotlands Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sport, Patricia Ferguson, has shed more light on future arts policy, revealing that the Scottish Executive is forming a group to prepare advice for local authorities on cultural planning and audience development.
Speaking at the Glasgow Grows Audiences conference, she emphasised a desire for more people to share the benefits of cultural activity, suggesting local authorities can play a role in this. Legislation will be introduced to enable cultural rights and entitlements to be delivered at community level.
