News – Consultation closes
Arts Council England, along with other Lottery distributors, is anxiously awaiting the Governments response to the public consultation on priorities for Lottery funding from 2009.
The consultation period, which comes to a close on 28 February, was established to determine whether the 50% of Lottery revenue which is currently equally divided between arts and film (combined), heritage and sport should be distributed between these priorities in a different way. The final announcement on allocations will be made in June, and arts, film and heritage distributors are waiting to see what impact the 2012 London Olympic Games will have on funding priorities.
