Januarys annual rush to book overseas summer holidays to lift the post-Christmas gloom has been pre-empted in an innovative deal between the Oldham Coliseum and the Co-op Travel group. Audiences booking to attend Dick Whittington (pictured) are entitled to a £50 certificate redeemable against a Co-op Travel holiday, and the Co-op in Oldham High Street is prominently displaying advertising for the pantomime.
It anticipates that holiday-makers could save up to £250,000 through the offer.
