The arts and culture sectors are the latest priority areas for the allocation of £40m from the Government?s Invest to Save ? Inclusive Communities Budget (ISB). The purpose of the fund is to encourage new and joined-up ways of working by funding projects that develop innovative ideas, bringing together organisations in partnership to deliver more efficient and effective public services.
Under the ?access to arts and culture? strand, funding will be allocated to organisations from across the cultural and/or public sectors taking innovative approaches to improving opportunities and access to arts and culture and related information and resources, especially for under-represented groups, or for those living in deprived areas. Other areas eligible for funding will be projects that enable the cultural sector to generate information on participation and access so that future resources can better focused, and those that realise efficiencies through strategic alliances and joint working. Expressions of interest must be submitted to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport by 22 July.
