Visiting Arts has appointed Yvette Vaughan Jones (pictured) as Director to succeed Terry Sandell. She is currently Director of the cultural programme for Cardiff 2005 and was previously Policy Manager for the Wales Centre in Brussels.

Erica Whyman, previously Artistic Director of London?s Gate Theatre and Southwark Playhouse, will be the new Chief Executive of Northern Stage. She will take over from Alan Lyddiard who is standing down after 13 years.

Helen Whitehead is the new Public Art Projects Manager for the Liverpool Biennial of Contemporary Art. She was previously at Artpoint in Oxford, the public art agency for the South East.

LIFT (The London International Festival of Theatre) has appointed Susanna Eastburn as its new Executive Producer. She ran the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival for three years before taking part in the Clore Leadership Programme.

Software service provider, Blackbaud, has appointed Paul Cater as Customer Services Manager. He previously worked with Tickets.com and at the Hammersmith Odeon, The Castle in Wellinborough, and The Anvil in Basingstoke.

Anna MacGregor, formerly Arts Development Co-ordinator at North Norfolk District Council, has joined Suffolk Artlink as Director.

The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama has appointed Professor Maggie Kinloch, Head of the School of Drama and Creative Industries at Queen Margaret University College, as Director of Drama. Andrew McCaffer, currently Project Director for a building programme to provide headquarters for Northern Ballet Theatre, is the new Director of Development & External Affairs.

Laraine Penson, Arts Press Manager at London?s LABAN, is taking maternity leave; her replacement is Laura Riches, previously Press Manager at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley.

Gemma Hitchen has taken over from Jo Kirkbride as Concerts Assistant at Britten Sinfonia.

The Arts Marketing Association has named Julie Aldridge (pictured), formerly the organisation?s Marketing Manager, as its new Executive Director. Neil Parker, Events Manager at Momentum Arts, is joining as Business Services Manager, and Alastair Morley, previously a box office assistant at Cambridge Corn Exchange, has been appointed as Membership and Events Administrator, replacing Tom Holmes.

Rosemary Squire, Executive Director of Ambassador Theatre Group, has been elected President of the Society of London Theatre (SOLT) to serve for three years until July 2008, succeeding Sir Stephen Waley-Cohen.
