News – Future of Irish arts

In an attempt to provide a more secure and sustainable environment for artists in Ireland, the Irish Arts Council has drawn up a draft framework document outlining its five key areas of focus for the next three years.
The document highlights the importance of strengthening the geographic reach of the arts and improving the Arts Council?s own efficiency. The draft strategy, which was created following a lengthy period of discussion and consultation, is available for comment until 1 July.
