Chaser, an interactive theatre programme for young people, has won a Green Apple Award for environmental best practice and secured three-year funding from central government, via the Home Office.
Produced as a partnership between several community agencies, including Proteus, a professional touring theatre company based in Basingstoke, Chaser explores issues relating to peer pressure, focusing on the taking of illegal drugs and substance misuse. Support of the programme is part of the Home Office?s national strategy for encouraging local partnerships to tackle drugs at community level.
