To help employers introduce more flexible working practices, The Industrial Society has released a video training pack, ?Get the balance Right?, which offers a series of practical steps towards this goal.
The Industrial Society?s recent work on flexibility indicates that organisations are becoming more amenable to flexible working, but many are opting to keep it informal. The same survey found that 75% of employees would rather have complete control over their working hours than to work five hours less at fixed times. Among younger workers, 80% say they would be more likely to stay in their jobs if their employers allowed for a better work-life balance, and this figure rises to 93% among those aged 18-25.
