Celebratory arts company ?Same Sky?, has marked its move to a new production base and training centre by creating a tree house which wound its way through all three floors of its workspace, with roots in the basement, a trunk on the ground floor and branches shooting up through the skylights.
During the 5-day sell-out run, audiences were guided around the tree in small groups, with artists, music and performers bringing the installation to life. The project was part of a European Union URBAN funded programme linking the arts into social regeneration initiatives in deprived communities, like those in East Brighton where Same Sky is based.
