Salary: Starting from £26,243, rising to £32,236
The University of Bath’s Office for the Arts organises programmes for both public and campus engagement. We are seeking an individual with experience and dedication to developing audiences for contemporary art to oversee our communications and marketing.
Working to the instruction of the Director of Arts, you will act to raise the profile of programmes at the University of Bath both externally and to campus communities; growing audiences, visitors and participants. Much of this will be for The Andrew Brownsword Gallery and our art and science centre (The Edge) on campus, as well as for our community engagement work and student arts offer.
With the support of the Communications Assistant, the Communications Manager implements promotional and communications activities to meet visitor objectives including the creation and distribution of digital content and development of website www.edgearts.org. The role also acts to raise profile for The Edge and Andrew Brownsword Gallery in line with income generating objectives.

It is an important time for The Edge and Andrew Brownsword Gallery as we develop an arts and science brand for public engagement purposes, whilst maintaining a supportive ecosystem for campus arts users.
From considering the design of our communications material, to writing press releases, to progressing our identity online, this new role will meet engagement targets and support programming colleagues in meeting positive outcomes for the University’s arts provision and research engagement objectives as well as student experience.
