Performances Birmingham Ltd is the charitable trust that manages Town Hall Symphony Hall (THSH) as part of two iconic venues at the heart of Birmingham. Town Hall Symphony Hall’s mission is to inspire a love of live music, through performance, participation and learning. Each year, we welcome over half a million people to around 800 concerts and events.

you will engage with people of all ages, reach out to communities across the city and rebuild a team of practitioners and creative producers

From Generation Ladywood, a suite of activities that are offered to young people and their families in an area where 53% of children live in poverty to Community Spirit, a concert which brings together some of the best choirs and homegrown talent in the West Midlands for an evening of incredible choral music – THSH plays a central role in this culturally vibrant city.

The charity is now seeking a Learning & Participation Manager to inspire that love of live music by developing and maintaining a broad range of programmes and projects.

In this role, you will engage with people of all ages, reach out to communities across the city and rebuild a team of practitioners and creative producers. Working from two world-class venues, which have seen music premieres from classical composers Mendelssohn and Elgar and hosted sell-out concerts from David Byrne to Gary Barlow, the successful candidate will ensure that these inspiring projects are of the highest artistic standards and delivered in an efficient, timely and cost-effective manner.
