With a brand new state-of-the-art city centre venue, Nuffield Southampton Theatres (NST) has been re-invigorated as a producing theatre company for Southampton. The theatre now has a growing national reputation for the quality of its work and an ambitious community engagement programme.
As the centrepiece of the city’s burgeoning Cultural Quarter, the theatre opened in February 2018 with a new 435 seat main house theatre, a 136 seat studio, screening facilities, rehearsal and education spaces and its café/bar, Tyrells.
NST is looking for a dynamic Executive Director (Joint CEO) who will work closely with the Artistic Director (Joint CEO) and Chief Operating Officer to provide outstanding strategic leadership for the organisation. The Executive Director will lead on the management of the company, develop, implement and fully exploit the commercial potential of the creative programmes for NST, and be the strategic lead for the company’s audience development, marketing and fundraising capabilities which will ensure the long-term future of the Company.
NST aims to be a major cultural force in Southampton with the widest possible range of audiences and participants, supporting artistic practice in the region, and playing a key role in championing the value of culture.
