Black Country Living Museum

Chief Operating Officer

Salary: circa £60,000

The Museum is one of Europe’s best and most successful open-air museums. We welcomed over 350,000 visitors in 2018, have a turnover of £8m, and employ 500 staff and volunteers. Our strategic view is that success originates from being an independent heritage business and giving equal weight to our purpose as museum + charity + visitor attraction.

As if that wasn’t enough we are embarking on the single largest development in our 40-year history, with a £25m investment, taking our story into the 1940s-1960s.

This is a new role, reporting to the Chief Executive, and part of our Leadership Team. It is an exciting opportunity to work as part of growing and developing charitable heritage organisation, offering the prospect of working in a unique and exciting environment.
