Music at Oxford

Marketing and General Manager

Salary: dependent on experience but not less than £27,000
Pension: Music at Oxford offers the National Enrolment Savings Trust (NEST) pension scheme
Hours of work: 9.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri plus all concerts
Place of work: Oxford office plus concert venues
Holiday entitlement: 20 days per annum

Music at Oxford is a small but vibrant concert and festival series.  We curate and manage a diverse range of professional concerts in a variety of Oxford's venues throughout the year.

We seek a dynamic, hard-working marketing specialist with a high-level knowledge of classical music. A flawless and engaging writing ability – in general and about music – is essential and will be tested at interview. This is a key role within the team, reporting to the Artistic and Executive Director, and encompasses some management responsibilities alongside marketing and box office responsibilities. The position is therefore best suited to someone with prior experience in a relevant environment.

You will have the skills to make a positive and significant impact on the marketing of Music at Oxford’s annual concert season. You will raise its profile locally, regionally and nationally, developing new audiences and driving ticket sales. You will manage and analyze the entire ticket-selling process effectively, and be instrumental in the smooth delivery of concerts.

The role is full-time, but there may be some flexibility for the right person. However, attendance at every Music at Oxford concert is mandatory; we currently have approximately 24 concerts per year.
