One of the largest producing theatres in the UK, Leeds Playhouse is entering a pivotal and exciting new chapter. It has recently completed a major redevelopment project and will also celebrate its fiftieth anniversary this year.
The new Chair will provide strategic leadership and direction to an outstanding Board of Trustees, supporting the joint Chief-Executives to bring to life the vision of creating a vital theatre and great artistic beacon for the North, rooted in the community and creating exceptional art.
Passionate about performing arts, the new Chair will ideally have an affinity with Leeds and strong network across the region. An open and inclusive leader, the Chair will actively engage with diverse stakeholders, experience of community organisations and arts funding will be helpful.
Leeds Playhouse is an ambitious organisation going through significant change. The new Chair is likely to have experience of leading or sitting on similar Boards in the not for profit or commercial sector and will bring strong governance, financial acumen and change experience.
