Annual salary:  will be in the range £45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience.
Location: The Leeds is a charity and the competition office is based on the campus of the principal partner, the University of Leeds.

The Leeds International Piano Competition has taken place on a triennial basis since 1963, and the next Competition will be in September 2018. ‘The Leeds’, as it is known, has discovered many of the great pianists of our time and has a strong brand, a renowned history and reputation, as well as loyal support in the local community. It is also highly respected by professional musicians and promoters around the world.

can you help secure the status of The Leeds as one of the top four piano competitions in the world?

A dynamic and inspiring Chief Executive is to be appointed following the retirement of our current CEO who has led the competition through the last three transitional years. This is a full time position based in Leeds, commencing on 1 October 2018, and comes at an exciting time in the competition's history with many new and innovative changes having been introduced. These enhancements include an annual Piano Festival taking place in Leeds and London, the implementation of an imaginative learning and engagement programme in partnership with the Lang Lang International Music Foundation the cornerstone of activity in 2018. For the first time the first round of the 2018 competition took place overseas with heats in Berlin, Singapore and New York. The whole of the 2018 competition in Leeds comprising the second round onwards will be filmed and live streamed on Changes such as these are securing the status of The Leeds as one of the top four piano competitions in the world. If the new appointee can start earlier in order to experience the event at first hand, this is encouraged.
