HighTide has established itself as the first new major British theatre company of this Century and has been instrumental in launching the careers of many major playwrights, including Ella Hickson, Nick Payne and Vinay Patel. The HighTide Festival is the Sundance of theatre, allowing new artists to experiment and become known to audiences and the theatre world. HighTide productions have played in theatres across the UK, including the National Theatre, Royal Court, Young Vic and Traverse Theatre, introducing new writers and challenging plays to audiences. Our primary offering is an annual festival, currently in Aldeburgh and Walthamstow, where we produce stories of contemporary politics and society, which we often tour. Our objective is to reach diverse audiences – particularly, in areas of low cultural engagement.
