The Board of Fife Contemporary Art & Craft (St Andrews) Ltd wishes to appoint a new CEO to lead and manage the organisation following the retirement of its longstanding Director.
Fife Contemporary was founded on the reputation and experience of St Andrews’ Crawford Arts Centre and has since had a pioneering role as an organisation operating free of a venue since 2006. The new form of delivery has enabled dedicated activities supporting craft makers and visual artists, as well as public programming across a wide variety of venues and digital interactions.
The dialogue between craft, design and visual art is at the heart of the programme. Fife Contemporary declared Climate Emergency and as a green arts organisation increasingly builds environmental concerns into the programme as well as its operation.
Through the pandemic Fife Contemporary has rapidly developed its ‘virtual venue’ website by embracing new forms of stand-alone digital content and creating online material which enhances and provides a legacy for live programmes.
The Board are now seeking an excellent individual to develop the programme and support the vibrant sector within Fife as we emerge from the pandemic. This will involve a focus on the development of strategic partners across Fife and beyond, and the development and support of organisational sustainable practice in terms of environmental impacts and diversifying income generation.
