Derby LIVE presents and produces an excellent and diverse programme of performances, events and festivals. It’s an exciting time. We’re planning for the reopening of the Assembly Rooms at the end of 2021 following an extensive £23m refurbishment; the programme of events at Derby Arena is due to be grown significantly; and the intimate grade II listed Guildhall Theatre is undergoing a programme of improvement works.
Derby LIVE is part of Derby City Council’s Leisure, Culture & Tourism department which directly manages a range of sport, leisure and cultural facilities across the city, delivering a quality experience in sports centres, performing arts venues, libraries, parks, community centres, the arts and at outdoor events, whilst also supporting Derby Museums Trust. We’re supporting the Council’s vision to sustain the city as a great place to live, work and visit. A place with big ambitions, where citizens are healthy and happy.
This is a unique opportunity to feed into the redevelopment of the Assembly Rooms and the revisioning of the business. As we refocus our plans to the future, we need an inspirational and entrepreneurial individual to drive us forward. You’ll already be a talented and experienced leader with a proven track record in a cultural organisation. We need someone who’s self-motivated, enthusiastic, proactive and flexible. You’ll be ambitious, dynamic, customer-focused and commercially minded with a creative outlook, and a skilled communicator with excellent influencing and negotiating skills.
