Chief Executive Officer
Salary: Negotiable but no less than £70,000 p.a.
Location: Mobile working, or based at our Head Office in Purfleet, Essex

Creative & Cultural Skills is an independent charity and licensed sector skills council that believes true economic growth in the creative industries can only really happen if young people access the right talent and skills, regardless of background or previous educational achievement. We work across the UK with offices in Essex and Belfast, along with mobile workers based across the country.
Through our National Skills Academy we deliver industry-relevant training and insights for young people to help inform future career choices. Our programme of careers advice and guidance is underpinned by our online careers platform Creative Choices, which receives thousands of unique visitors each month.
We are currently seeking a new Chief Executive who can lead the company through its next stage of development including as a new sector support organisation funded by Arts Council England for the period 2018-22. We are ambitious for the future and are looking for a strategic leader with integrity, energy and resilience who will work with the Board of Trustees to set clear direction for our staff team. We are looking for someone with drive and energy who can maintain the current programme and find new opportunities for growth.
You will have experience of leadership and management at a senior level. You will understand the education sector and government policies across the UK, particularly at post-16 as well as being well-networked with the arts, museums, libraries and creative industries. You will have demonstrable negotiating ability and a track record of enabling different partners to work together. You will be committed to delivering equality and diversity.
Creative & Cultural Skills currently employs 14 people but will expand to 18 during 2018. Its current annual turnover is £2.18m. Creative & Cultural Skills is led by a board of trustees and its chair is Paul Latham, COO, Live Nation.
