Salary: Up to £40,000 + 3% pension contribution
We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial arts leader to join the executive team as Deputy Director. This is an exciting time to join our organisation and the Deputy Director will play a key role in influencing change and delivering it to the highest standard. Your role will be to lead on the smooth running and effective day to day operation of the organisation with overall responsibility for customer service, communications, trading, finance and people management.
This role is part of the Executive team, which takes a collaborative approach to the management of the Corn Exchange and its wide ranging activities. You will need to be a strategic thinker with a number of creative and pragmatic ideas to maximise the organisation’s unique offer and opportunities. You will plan with a strong attention to detail, recognising the impact of your decisions and support the team to deliver the vision and ensuring success. Similarly, you will need to be agile in resolving challenges to the highest standard.

As Deputy Director you will have the natural ability to lead and motivate the team to produce results and achieve challenging targets. You will ensure everyone is set up to succeed in their role by supporting line managers across the organisation.

You will need to be opportunistic whilst realistic and within the means of the company. You will ensure budget holders are maximising their income opportunities and managing their expenditure. You will need to ensure the organisation continues to operate with a broad income base.
