Chief Executive Officer
Birmingham Royal Ballet (BRB) is looking to appoint a permanent Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the transformation of the Company and to ensure it remains one of the UK’s leading classical ballet companies. The post of interim CEO is currently held by Caroline Miller OBE.
You will lead the transformation of the Company
The CEO will join a leadership team, which is undergoing substantial change. A new Chair of the board, Sir David Normington, was appointed in May 2018.
A competition is currently underway to find a new Director to replace David Bintley CBE, who will leave in the summer of 2019 after 24 years leading the creative and artistic side of the company. This is an opportunity, therefore, to be part of a new team, developing and implementing a new artistic vision for the company, ensuring its financial and commercial sustainability into the future and inspiring its staff, supporters and donors. A priority for the new CEO will be to develop a close and positive working relationship with the new Director, when appointed.
Time Commitment: This is a full-time, permanent position.
Location: This role will be based at the company’s headquarters in Birmingham, but the CEO will be expected to undertake regular travel accompany the company to as many as possible of its regional and international touring venues and to meet various stakeholders.
Re-numeration: A six-figure salary will be subject to negotiation and annual review.
Start Date: Spring 2019.
