As founding editor Liz Hill prepares to step down, the vacancy has arisen for a new Editor to join the team responsible for publishing ArtsProfessional, the UK’s high profile online publication serving the arts and cultural sector.

First and foremost this is a leadership role, working with a small team to publish content that supports and enhances the professional practice of those working in the arts. The new Editor will be tasked with preserving ArtsProfessional’s status as a high-quality trusted source of relevant news and information.

Whether your career background is in journalism and publishing, or working in the cultural sector itself, if you are a creative thinker who has a vision as to how ArtsProfessional could serve its readers even better, this could be the job for you.   

To be successful in this role you will need a deep understanding of the range of issues facing cultural organisations in the UK and a network of connections across the sector.

You will also need to be a confident communicator with a collaborative management style and shrewd business acumen. The technical skills needed include having a great command of written English and a real eye for detail.
