The Marlowe, Canterbury is one of this country’s most successful large-scale independent theatres, with a 1,200-seat Theatre, a 150-seat Studio and The Marlowe Kit, an 800-year-old building which we plan to transform into a learning centre and heritage experience.
We present a year-round programme of national touring productions across a range of artforms including theatre, dance, opera and music. Since becoming a self-funding independent charitable trust in 2018 we have begun to develop a more mixed economy, with a 5-year plan to commission and produce work at all scales alongside the presented programme. Supporting artists and developing the creative lives of the next generation are central to our mission to be the engine house for the performing arts in our region and to shape the spirit of Kent.
We are seeking a dynamic marketing professional to deliver our audience development strategy, ensuring that our work is accessible to everyone in our community.

We want to work with people who are passionate about their work, resilient in the face of any challenge that comes their way and supportive of their colleagues.
