Substrakt SEO Workshop What are Google doing to your page titles?

Digital agency Substrakt have recently launched a new series of free webinars where they’ll be sharing practical tips, resources and insights about various topics relating to content, SEO & analytics, user research and digital strategy

Each session will be 45 minutes long with a presentation from the Substrakt team, a live demo and plenty of time for Q&A.

Substrakt webinar: SEO with Kat - what are Google doing to your page titles?'

In the first of these sessions, Substrakt’s SEO & analytics expert Kat will be talking about Google’s page title update from last year.

What is this? Google has changed the way page titles are displayed in the search results.

Why is this important for you? Your carefully curated page titles might not be appearing in Google as expected (because Google has a new way of deciding what titles to generate). We have a way of discovering which page titles have changed and what they’ve been changed to, using Google Sheets Scripts Editor.

Kat will be sharing an overview of what the update is and what it means, before taking you through a step-by-step guide for:

  1. checking if your page titles have been affected
  2. seeing how they’ve changed, and
  3. minimising the chances of your page titles being changed by Google

When: Thursday 26th May (3-4pm BST)
Cost: Free

We’d love to see you there! If you’d like to join us, just book your place and we’ll see you soon.

Helpful resources: Kat’s written a couple of useful articles about the update in case you fancy some pre-event reading - they're split into part one and part two
