The National Arts Fundraising School
Dean’s Place Hotel, Alfriston, East Sussex
7-12 April 2019
The National Arts Fundraising School (NAFS) is the UK’s most intensive and successful fundraising training programme exclusively for the arts and cultural sector. It is the only one that guarantees success. More than 1,800 museums, galleries, theatres, festivals and dance companies have benefited, and so far the learning they’ve gained has helped them raise over £350M.
Arts fundraising is becoming more challenging – with local authority cuts and lottery income falling. To survive and thrive, you must be able to tap into the whole range of sources that are available. You need to know where to look and how to ask. That’s what NAFS is designed to help you with. For over 30 years School alumni have shown that the resulting skills and know-how we share work.
Over six challenging, practical – and fun – days you’ll develop a comprehensive understanding of all the key funding sources, as well as core approaches – from major donors to online engagement, and from capital appeals to growing legacy income. Most important we’ll help you integrate these into a sustainable strategic approach.
Whether you’re experienced, or new to fundraising, you’ll get new ideas, invigorate familiar approaches and tap into fundraising opportunities you’ve never considered before. You’ll also develop skills in powerful communication with donors. Above all you’ll build a rigorous, resilient fundraising strategy.
All the sessions are delivered by our experienced consultancy team brought in by cultural agencies from Southbank Centre to Scottish Book Trust as well a major charities such as Red Cross, Greenpeace and Marie Curie.
This is not cookie cutter training. Every School is adapted based on a pre-programme questionnaire. And the 20+ modules are updated yearly to ensure we’re sharing the latest thinking.
Not sure if NAFS is for you? Book onto our free webinar on Friday 8 February at 10-10.45am to find out more about what the course offers.
