Family Arts Campaign first ever Family Arts Leadership Symposium
Established and emerging cultural leaders are invited to engage in some of the big issues affecting our work and shape the future landscape for family arts.
Friday 2nd March 2018 11.00- 16.30- Carriageworks Theatre, Leeds.
Highlights include keynotes from:
- Hilary Carty - Director, Clore Leadership who will discuss the future of cultural leadership and building resilience in a changing cultural landscape.
- Lizzie Crump - Co-Director, Cultural Learning Alliance who will discuss the implications of policy and practice in the cultural learning agenda on family engagement.
- Dr Leila Jancovich - Programme Leader, MA Culture, Creativity & Entrepreneurship at the University of Leeds who will share her research on models of democratic organisational decision-making, involving the widest spectrum of the community.
As well as interactive sessions, we will also hear from cultural leaders in Leeds and the wider Yorkshire area who will be discussing leading family-friendly organisational cultures. Confirmed speakers in our ‘Directors in Conversation’ session include Mark Skipper, Chief Executive of Northern Ballet, John Roles, Head of Museums & Galleries at Leeds City Council, Helen Ball, Chief Executive of The Civic Barnsley, and Jacqui Cameron, Education Director for Opera North.
