The Chair of Jazz Services has written an open letter to Arts Council England (ACE), saying the decision not to renew its National Portfolio status “has caused widespread concern among musicians and audiences”. A number of industry figures have signed a letter to ACE written by Equity urging it to explain its “reckless and destructive” decision to cut funding to Richmond’s Orange Tree Theatre.
