The Fundraising Regulator is reportedly ‘running on its reserves’ after failing to raise enough in the first round of its levy. It is set to raise £1.75m, which is £500k short of the anticipated £2.25m, and £200k short of its minimum required budget, as 418 charities have refused to pay, 199 invoices had to be written off because they were sent with incorrect data, and 155 charities are in dispute with the Regulator.
