The first act of the new Edinburgh Culture Venues Group – of which members include the National Galleries of Scotland, National Museums Scotland, the Usher Hall and Queen’s Hall music venues, and the Lyceum, Traverse, King’s and Festival theatres – has been to publish an ‘impact report’, which reveals that the city’s key venues are worth almost £200m a year to the nation’s economy.
