A ‘singing clock’, to be created by Turner-Prize winning artist Susan Philipsz, will be installed at the site of a planned high-speed railway station in the city, mostly financed by corporate sponsors and key stakeholders.
The news follows the city council’s decision to cut funding to major arts organisations in the city by 32% in 2017/18.
