Almost 100 leading figures from the arts, science and politics, including actors Emma Thompson and Mark Rylance, have signed a letter to the Guardian calling on the museum to end its “completely out of touch” partnership with oil giant BP. This comes three weeks after BP announced that it would end its sponsorship of Tate, following persistent anti-oilcampaigning.
