A new funding pot launched by Arts Council England, aims to help arts and cultural organisations contribute to local economic growth by leveraging EU funds. Grants of £150k to £500k are available for collaborative projects working in Local Enterprise Partnership areas outside of London. Grants will be awarded as match funding for European Structural and Investment Funds.

A second programme, ‘developing sector leaders’, aims to increase diversity in arts management. Organisations that specialise in professional development will be eligible to apply for a grant of up to £1.5m to provide a range of leadership and governance development activities for the arts and cultural sector.

Finally, a total of £1.8m will be shared between a consortium of three museums or galleries working with Yorkshire Sculpture Park to present exhibitions and events that celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Arts Council Collection. Applications are invited from National Portfolio Organisations and accredited museums that attract a minimum of 40,000 visitors a year and are based outside of Greater London and Yorkshire and the Humber.
