Monday Tonight, I was at the re-launch of the Curious Duke Gallery in Shoreditch. My job doesn’t only take place in the office – I go out to press events two or three evenings a week. One of the things I love about my job is the variety – the organisation works across the arts, so our clients include art galleries, heritage organisations, theatres and production companies, circus shows, opera companies and much more. No two days are ever the same.
Tuesday I’m always on the go and heading from meeting to meeting, into rehearsals for a new show or checking out a new gallery. Because of this, my BlackBerry is an invaluable tool for me. Today I was sending hundreds of emails while running through the streets of Soho. Another thing my BlackBerry is vital for is reading new scripts to pick which projects are the right fit for us.
Wednesday The team is so close-knit that everyone has become great friends – we like to go out for drinks and even have a minibreak once a year. It was Suzie’s two-year review today, so a birthday cake was essential. Whenever we have a company milestone we love to celebrate.
Thursday If I’m not at our office, then I can often be found at Quo Vadis. It’s a great place to meet clients or journalists for coffee and have a good catch up by the fire. Today I was here to meet with BoonDog Theatre and Lucy Roslyn to discuss the show they're taking to Edinburgh.
Friday Once a week, normally on a Friday, we have a team meeting. We chat through anything that has come up during the week – challenges and successes. It’s a great opportunity for the whole team to hear about the projects we’re working on, as each team member gives an update on their clients. Today we chatted about Underbelly’s summer festival in London, which we have worked on for the past few years.
