Sir Nicholas Serota to become new ACE chair

Director of Tate galleries SIR NICHOLAS SEROTA will replace Arts Council England Chair SIR PETER BAZALGETTE from February 2017. SIR NICHOLAS will formally leave his 28-year role as Director of Tate later in 2017.

Earlier in his career SIR NICHOLAS worked in a regional art office for the Arts Council of Great Britain’s Visual Arts Department. He also ran the Museum of Modern Art in Oxford and London’s Whitechapel Gallery before joining Tate.
