Matt Hancock, previously Minister for Digital at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), has been named the Government’s new Culture Secretary. He replaces Karen Bradley, in post since 2016, who moves on to a new role as Northern Ireland Secretary.

Stourbridge MP Margot James, previously Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, joins the Department as Minister of State. John Glen leaves his role as Arts Minister to become Economic Secretary to the Treasury and City Minister, and former Deputy Leader of the House of Commons, Michael Ellis, joins the DCMS as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State.

This story was corrected on 10/01/2018 to reflect the fact that John Glen is no longer Arts Minister.
