Ikon Gallery Director JONATHAN WATKINS is stepping down after 23 years.
He plans to leave the Birmingham contemporary art institution in October.
During his tenure, Watkins established the Ikon Investment Fund, instigated an off-site programme and retained free entry for all exhibitions.
He has also curated exhibitions at international biennials in China, Canada, Italy and the United Arab Emirates.
