Miles Brignall tells theatre-goers to go to the box office in person, pay in cash, and "stick two fingers up to rip-off ticket agencies".

In August I purchased two tickets for a comedy evening at The Mill Volvo Tyne Theatre, Newcastle. The tickets cost £50, plus booking and service fees of £11.30 (including £2.50 for delivery which applied even if you chose to print the tickets yourself).

A few days before the event, it was cancelled. The ticket cost has been refunded but not the other charges.
