About us

An invaluable source for the arts

ArtsProfessional

As the leading UK-based arts management magazine, ArtsProfessional is mailed out fortnightly to around 7,000 readers based in the UK and overseas. We offer readers a diet of news, views and case studies from across the arts sector and publish more arts management job vacancies than any other publication. The magazine is supported by ArtsProfessional Online, an interactive site containing all our back issues in a fully searchable database.

Whether you are involved in an arts organisation, run arts projects, work with artists, provide support services to the sector or simply want to know the more about the current issues that face creative and cultural organisations and practitioners, then ArtsProfessional is definitely for YOU. It is an invaluable source of information about the latest ideas, trends, technologies, policies and legislation that influence the development of the arts sector and the thinking of those who work within it.

ArtsProfessional has something to offer readers at all stages in their careers: directors and managers needing to lead their organisations, teams, and activities as effectively and efficiently as possible; artform specialists looking for inspiration for their next projects; administrators wanting to keep up to date with changes in the law or make better use of new technologies; and students wanting to understand more about the environment they may end up working in. The magazine delivers all the latest news, views, analysis and comment needed by those wishing to keep abreast of current issues affecting the arts and cultural sectors.

As well as all this, ArtsProfessional is the sector’s largest specialist recruitment vehicle, and remains the UK’s leading publisher for invitations to tender, and product and service advertising.

Where is ArtsProfessional read?

ArtsProfessional is mailed directly to 7,000 UK and overseas arts professionals every fortnight. The weekly e-newsletter, APe-mail, is currently sent to more than 9,500 self-registered recipients. The website at www.artsprofessional.co.uk currently receives around 47,000 unique visits every month.

The breakdown of ArtsProfessional’s UK subscriber list shows a spread of readers across the regions, broadly in line with population and arts management activity in those areas. Overseas readers accounted for around 1% of the list.

ArtsJobFinder is the recruitment service from ArtsProfessional, offering the widest range of jobs, invitations to tender and volunteer posts in the arts sector.

The site is free to access. Once you have set up your username and password you can not only search our comprehensive job listings, but also benefit from the resources available in the Career Zone and take part in our interactive features.

If you are recruiting staff, advertising with ArtsProfessional and ArtsJobFinder will allow you to promote your vacancy to thousands of qualified arts professionals. Contact  ads@artsprofessional.co.uk or visit advertise for further information.

The ArtsJobFinder website is the result of ArtsProfessional’s continued commitment to meeting the needs of arts organisations looking for staff, and people looking for their first or next job in the sector. Many of the new features and the website design are in response to feedback from our customers and through the extensive brainstorming, researching and testing which was carried out by the ArtsProfessional team.

The visual designs for both the ArtsProfessional and ArtsJobFinder websites were created by James Bonham http://www.jfbonham.com who worked alongside ArtsProfessional Web Developer Katie Atkinson. We would also like to thank Steve Sobol for his support in the development of the site.
